STATEMENT FROM THE PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS MOTHERS ASSOCIATION
From our President, Michele Green:
In the wake of the events over the past weeks, our hearts are extremely heavy.
We, the Professional Football Players Mothers Association stand together with our sons that are current and retired NFL players, in support of the protests resulting from the cruel and senseless killings of African Americans.
The ongoing deaths are a direct and deliberate result of the inhumane actions of law enforcement officers across the nation. This is unacceptable. We are praying for the families, all victims of racism, and for our country to evolve by instituting policies and structures that will cease social inequalities.
The Professional Football Players Mothers Association is committed to finding opportunities that will turn this time of uncertainty into a time for positive change. We will continue to support our sons as they advocate for equal justice and increasing voter registration, and fight against police brutality and racism. We will strive to work closely with the NFL, NFL Players Association, NFL Alumni Association, corporations, nonprofits, and community leaders to serve and support those willing to speak out against racism. Silence is complicity.
About Professional Football Players Mothers Association (PFPMA) – PFPMA is a non-profit 501c3 service organization dedicated to educating, supporting and informing mothers about the business of professional football, and supporting charitable causes and the communities they serve throughout America.
